The Thrive Outside Experience
Thrive Outside will ensure that all those with a vested interest in each individual will be included in our insights and we will offer support and guidance to them in how to realise the potential of the individual, with the overall aim of reintroducing the child back into a formal education environment. Our sessions will provide gentle structure for the children, with a step by step approach, that allows them to feel free to learn and grow at a pace that is right for them. In addition, we will implement a strong framework of boundaries to ensure that all children and adults are emotionally and physically safe in the environment.
Our Sessions
At Thrive Outside, we run a morning and afternoon session every Monday to Thursday and a morning session on a Friday. Session times are 09:15-12:15 and 13:15-15:15. Whilst we are an outdoor based environment, we do have an indoor classroom within the woodland and there is also access to toilets and kitchen facilities. Children will be grouped based on their individual needs, behavioural and support requirements.

Every session will follow a timetable that includes a graded activity each day; Allotment, Pond, Wildlife, Sustainable Build, Open Kitchen and Re-Wild. The underpinning work behind each activity will focus on skills for independence, personal responsibility, healthy relationships, self awareness and building self esteem, and recognising feelings and patterns of behaviour. Every activity will be tailored in such a way to support each child in their own aim and outcome for their time at Thrive Outside.
The hourly rate for each child to attend Thrive is £85 per hour, this will be invoiced in advance. We recommend that a child receives, at a minimum, one session per week, for six weeks. Discounted rates will be agreed for multiple bookings.

We will be welcoming children to Thrive Outside from September 2022. We know that spaces within our service will be very valuable. We are committed carefully thinking through each and every referral to ensure we provide the best possible service for the children at Thrive Outside.
